Abstract

This article provides an overview of the development of the field of feminist and gender anthropology in Mexico. It offers a general perspective on the themes that women's, feminist, and gender studies have explored in the country's institutions where anthropological training and research are conducted, beginning in the 1960s and continuing into the early 2000s. The primary source of information was the catalog of anthropology theses, a project of the Mexican Network of Institutions for Anthropological Training (RedMifa).
