Abstract

In this article, we offer an analysis of anthropological practice from the perspective of university students. In response to the question, “What does an anthropologist do?”, we collected data from two groups of students. In one group, we asked for a brief written narrative. In the other, we conducted a focus group. We examined how anthropology integrates into their lives and is configured as a tool for relating to the world. We grouped the students' feelings and knowledge into three categories: 1) definition and practice of anthropology; 2) relationships with the others studied and with themselves; 3) work and the future.
